It wouldвЂ™ve been really interesting to see the Mods vs. Matt didnвЂ™t give us any juicy details as to the game play mechanics of We Are The Mods, but he did share some of his work on the project which includes a few vehicles and objects like a gun and stockyard train car.

As we learned previously, We Are The Mods began development in Rockstar Toronto in 2006 and was meant to be a spiritual successor to The Warriors, at least in how the game was meant to be a gritty brawler.Дevelopment on We Are The Mods was ultimately shifted from the PS2/Xbox to the PS3/Xbox 360 and ultimately it was this shift plus other issues that lead to the game being halted and presumably canceled. According to Matt, Rockstar TorontoвЂ™s London based gang game was dubbed вЂњWe Are The ModsвЂќ amongst members of the studio. A veteran staffer of RockstarвЂ™s Toronto studio, Matt worked on several high-profile projects such Red Dead Redemption and GTA IV as an environment artist. Rockstar Games have of course remained silent regarding their London based gang game, but thankfully former Rockstar employee Matt Kazan has shared some details about the project via his website. We caught wind of this canceled gang project a while ago, but today we have a few more tidbits on the project along with some simple in-game images. But sometimes there are Rockstar projects that sadly fall by the waste side such as the 1960вЂ™s based gang game the companyвЂ™s Toronto branch was developing.

Rockstar Games is known for keeping many of their projects closely guarded and while it may take four of five years for a game to finally come out, itвЂ™s definitely worth the wait.
